Basketball Academy
While many sports offer individual instruction we believe that the academy atmosphere is even better. Basketball is a team sport and understanding how to best utilize your individual skills to fit in the framework of a team is something you can’t get in an individual lesson.
- We will offer General Skills Academies, Strictly Shooting Academies, along with academies geared specifically for the point guard, wing, or post player!
- Athletes will come once a week for a 75-90 minute session.
- Proper form and technique will be emphasized.
- Athletes will learn how to maximize their time in a gym.
- Each participant will leave each session with a different weekly work out.
- Athletes will be divided up by gender, age, and ability.
- A beginner won’t be grouped with a more experienced player, and a 6 year old wouldn’t be grouped with a 9 year old.
- Our instructor to player ratio is low: Groups of 5-6 allow for a more individualized instruction and a higher amount of repetitions.
- Athletes will participate in drills that will be run at game speed.
- Areas of instruction will include form shooting, ball handling, passing, team defense, team offense, and the mental side of basketball.
