Summer Travel Teams
- All tournaments are within reasonable driving distance. Parents are responsible for transporting their child, meals and other accommodations. - Teams will begin practice the first week of April. Teams will practice on Sunday nights and Tuesday nights during the spring, and on Saturday mornings during the summer. Teams will also practice additionally prior to tournaments. - During June and July, we will also offer a basketball academy for six weeks specifically/only for players in our summer select program on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon, from 1:00 – 2:30. These times are optional, but players are strongly encouraged to attend. Academy sessions will focus on fundamentals. We will incorporate fundamentals learned into our summer team concepts. These sessions are not mandatory, but players are strongly encouraged to attend whenever possible. - All participants are eligible to attend any session of basketball academy or progressive training (camps not included) in April and May. The Academy is offered two days per week (Mon/Thurs evenings) in both April and May. - Each team will be assigned a highly qualified basketball coach. We are in the process of assigning summer coaches. Please check the website in late February for final information on coaches. We recognize that the coach can make or break a family's experience, and we go to great lengths to assign the area's top coaches! - We will offer two teams per grade level. Our A team will be referred to as our black team and our B team will be referred to as our white team. - Black teams will participate in six tournaments. Two tournaments will take place during the spring, and four tournaments will take place during the summer. This will give each team approximately 25 – 30 games. - White teams will participate in four tournaments, and the OSA summer Predator League. Two tournaments will take place during the spring, and two tournaments will take place during the summer. 4th – 8th Grade Girls Teams: - We will offer one team per grade level. - Teams will participate in four tournaments and the OSA summer Predator League. Boys High School Teams (Under 15, Under 16, and Under 17) General Information
- Under 15 teams are for boys currently finishing their freshman year. - Under 16 teams are for boys currently finishing their sophomore year. - Under 17 teams are for boys currently finishing their junior year. - We will offer two Under 15 boys teams, one Under 16 boys team and one under 17 boys team. - Please note if demand is high enough, we have the flexibility to add more teams. High School Teams Note: We are respectful of the fact that most high school programs go extremely hard during the month of June. Therefore, we tend to be light in June and pick back up in July. Mitch is a recent graduate of KU and served as Coach Self's student manager for five years! - This will give each team approximately 25 games.

(mandatory) Click Here to Return to Tryout Dates 1) Email Bob Franzese, OSA General Manager, at: Bob.Franzese@omahasportsacademy.com to inform him of your intention to try out. 2) Show up 15 -30 minutes prior to tryouts to register. 3) Results will be posted the next day by 5:00 p.m. 4) If your child earns a spot in the select program and you wish to accept that spot for your child you will need to call email Bob Franzese by the designated date (usually within 48 hours) to accept your spot. 5) At that time, a non refundable deposit and completed contract will be due by the designated date.
