OSA Crusaders Summer Basketball Program
The Omaha Sports Academy is excited to continue our partnership with the Omaha Crusaders to bring you the BEST summer basketball program in the Midwest! Our practice structure, game schedule and attention to fundamentals will allow players to take their game to a new level over the summer months. Program directors include Doug Woodard, Varsity Boys' Basketball Coach at Bellevue West and Bob Franzese, OSA General Manager and long time Omaha basketball coach.
Under 15, 16, 17 Boys and Girls- National Teams
- Tournaments: Three spring tournaments, plus four live period (Division I coaches can observe) tournaments in July. Our Final tournament scheduled will be posted in late February on our website. We will be competing in the highest level of tournaments.
- Practices: Sunday afternoons/ early evenings and Tuesdays in April and May. Practices generally at the Omaha Sports Academy.
- Travel, Meals and Lodging: We will facilitate travel, cover one-two meals per day and cover lodging expenses.
*Note: We recognize that high school programs typically hold their camps, clinics and play in summer leagues in June. As a result, we hold off on doing any sort of team practices in June to allow players to participate with their high school teams.
Under 15, 16, 17 Boys and Girls- Regional Teams
- Tournaments: Three spring tournaments, plus a combination of regional and national level tournaments. Our final tournament schedule will be posted in late February on our website.

- Weekly Academy: Players have the option of attending Tuesday and Thursday skill sessions in June and July from 2:15- 3:30 PM each day. Players are strongly encouraged to attend these sessions. While we all know games and team practices are very important, this portion of the summer program will allow for players to take big steps fundamentally!
- Travel, Meals and Lodging: Players are responsible for getting themselves to tournaments and for accommodations and meals. However, we will assist with coordination if there are issues. We have never had an issue getting a player to a tournament!

- We will offer national and regional teams for Under 14 Boys and Under 14 Girls Teams. This age group consists of those currently enrolled in the 8th grade in the Spring 2012.

- Practices: Sunday afternoons/ early evenings and Tuesdays in April and May. Practices generally at the Omaha Sports Academy.

4th-7th Grade Boys and Girls Teams
We will be offering national and regional teams for boys and girls 4th-7th grade. Individuals should try out for the grade they are currently enrolled in as in the spring of 2012.
- Tournaments: Two- three spring tournaments, plus a total of four to five tournaments in June, July and early August. Tournaments will be a mix of MAYB tournaments and regional tournaments. All tournaments are within a half days driving distance at the most.
- Practices: Saturdays in April and May and some Thursday nights. Coaches will have the option to call for additional practices prior to tournaments at their discretion. During June and July teams will practice on non-tournament Saturdays and also once during the week. A complete schedule will be announced by the end of February.
